Mr. X
(NEW):
This game is being billed as the "Sequel to the award winning
Scotland Yard". Instead of taking place in London (or in New York with the
now discontinued NYC edition), the action takes place across the whole
European continent as the police/Scotland Yard players try to chase down the
elusive Mr. X player. We haven't seen the rules yet but the components
suggest a rather substantial difference from the venerable Scotland Yard,
one of our all time favorites. For 2-6 players, ages 10+, playing time about 1 hour |

The last in this series of off-the-wall European imports asks you and your fellow stone-agers to build a temple. All you've got is a holy tree stump and, you guessed it, a bunch of rocks (included of course). As you avoid pitfalls and the help of village idiots, players take turns adding rocks to the stump in such a way as to make it impossible for the others to continue without toppling the stack. Simple to understand and just plain fun to play. It's sort of like playing Jenga backwards. 2-4 ages 7+; 1 hr. | $23.09

Nero: Players are contenders for Imperial power. Using your legions and political influence, your aim is to either seize and hold the Imperium by being declared Emperor, or to gather enough land and power so that, at game’s end, you are in position to do so. The overall strategy is to become Emperor, stay Emperor, conquer areas, and amass victory points. However, to do that, rather than take an extended overview and plan way ahead, the game requires players, instead, to react and act quickly, often making their own opportunities by playing the event cards sagaciously and timely. Event cards include Assassins, Bribery, Bad Augury, German Tribe Attacks, Galley Fleets, Crisis in Rome, the Praetorian Guard and many more! Includes large gameboard of Europe and the Mediterranean area, 162 full color playing pieces, 12 full color cardboard standup leader pieces, 55 bridge quality playing cards, 2 player aid cards and a rules booklet. The game does not contain any dice – movement, combat and events are all covered by the deck of playing cards! To play: 90-120 min., for 3-4 players, Ages 12+: | $34.65
