Junta : Finally reprinted again, many consider this one of the best multiplayer games of the past 20 years and we agree. 1 player starts the game as dictator of a banana republic. They appoint jobs like general of the army, prime minister, palace guard & Admiral of the Navy, so each player has some role to play and advantage to exploit. Then, through a unique mechanism, the dictator secretly draws cards to determine the yearly income of the republic. Next comes the budget. but not each appointee will get what they want. Of course El Presidente keeps some for himself. The real test is for the "President" to keep enough of the other players happy to avoid rebellion. El Presidente never seems to stay in office long; players try each turn to get to the bank to stash/protect their cash, and nobody is ever eliminated. Victims of assassination return next turn as a relative of the deceased. The rules are quite humorous and there's plenty of interaction, intrigue, and double dealing. The one who has the most cash in the bank wins. Players: 2 - 7, Time to Play: 2 - 4 hours, Ages: 16+ $35.81
