NEW 2010
This is the first game since "Apples to Apples" that has earned our "Favorite" tag upon release. Actually, the game won't even be released nationally until 2010; the manufacturer has allowed for a limited number of games to be available in a few select test markets.
If you decide to try it, please e-mail us with your impressions. They will be greatly valued by the design team.

Truth Be Told: Think of this as part Balderdash/ (bluffing) with the personal feel & comfort of "Apples to Apples". In each round, one of the players is the Host, and reads a question card such as, “Truth Be Told, my favorite snack is _______.”  The Host secretly writes a truthful answer, like...pork rinds.  All other players write bluff answers that might seem like something the Host wrote – pretzels, prunes, sardines. The Host collects and reads all answers aloud, and players try to guess the Host’s True Answer.  Players score if they voted for the True Answer - and also if their bluff answer was chosen by others. For 3-8 players ages 12+ and includes 564 Truth Be Told Questions; 8 markers; 8 Fill in the Blank cards; 8 Paddles.
Our take: For the past 10 years, the question we get the most is: "What new game is this year's "Apples to Apples?" Before that, it was what's the next Trivial Pursuit? Truth Be Told stands apart from the countless new titles we preview yearly. It works on several fronts, being very quick to get started, creative, social & frequently laugh out loud funny. But most important, our group simply loved playing and couldn't wait to get together again.

Perudo: This is basically LIAR'S DICE but better than most of the ones on the market today because PERUDO handles SIX players instead of FOUR. Good guessing, good bluffing and good luck make this the liar’s dice game you’ll go back to again and again. Great fun from the Andes to America. For 2 to 6 players, ages 10 to adult.

Quelf: With this hilariously silly party game, you will have outrageous fun with your family and friends. Use your creativity, wit and sense of humor in ways you've never imagined. As you move around the game board, as one of eight quirky characters, crazy things start to happen. Your friends start talking strangely. Your mom's face is wrapped in toilet paper. Your dad is acting like Dracula. And you are reciting a poem about your armpits. Each game is a new journey into wackiness. When the dust settles and someone crawls away the winner, you realize...you've never had this much fun playing a board game in your life!

Perfect for: family get-togethers, rainy day entertainment, teen parties, youth groups, ice breakers and curing cabin fever. Ages 12+, 3-8 players, takes about 1 hour to play. Winner of multiple awards!!

Our take: Opinions about Quelf were either love it or hate it. The clear majority of our testers loved the experience and wanted to keep playing again and again. A few couldn't get into it and refused to join in. Overall, Quelf has developed a large and extremely loyal following.
