NEWS - Arrivals - Sold outs:

-
SIX New Miniature
Puzzles from TDC with 234 pieces just arrived. They are only 4 x 6
inches when complete, so the pieces are small. Great for an airplane or
anywhere space is a concern. Educa makes a miniature 1000. We are sold
out of those but expect a restock in March. There will be 4 new ones (a
total of 8 in all) at that time.

The 2010
Ravensburger Large Formats have been very hot; thanks to the
factory for the super fast restock which arrived today (27 Feb.). The NEW
500 pc. puzzles with oversized piesce have been restocked as
well.

The 2010 Buffalo Games catalog was a bit disappointing. Instead of
expanding their once best selling (for us at least) Panoramic City
Puzzle Series, Buffalo has sadly discontinued several more. You can add
Atlanta & Houston to the trash heap which now includes Washington DC,
Philadelphia, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Denver, & Los
Angeles. Surprisingly, NO NEW Large Format Puzzles are offered at this
time, although there were several added late last year.
-
Busy weekend saw us preview the Springbok, Sunsout and White Mountain
lines for 2010. Sunsout has the most new titles and so far & no price
increases for any of the US/domestic puzzle makers mentioned. Next week
we'll see Ceaco and hopefully Educa.

We
just previewed the new 2010 Ravensburger Puzzles. There's 7 new Large
Format 300 pc. puzzles (our staff liked 5). They've added 4 new Large
Format 500's as well, so last year's introduction of this series
did well enough! We usually shy away from standard 500s but a lot of the
new ones appeal to us so expect us to expand that area. The same applies
for the 1000s. Several new puzzles of all sizes with vampire themes.
Surprise!!?! There are assorted new 1500 & 2000s that we like a lot, but
only 1 new 3000 and 1 new 5000, neither of which was that exciting (to
us). Sadly, there are no new 9k or 18k puzzles.
Overall, Ravensburger should have another solid year ahead of them. New
puzzles should start to arrive by Feb. 2010 and filter in slowly through
the spring.

schools represented including Duke, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi,
North Carolina, Pitt, Penn State, Wisconsin & many many more. The 350 piece puzzles
are TWO sided; one side with the team football helmet, and the reverse
side will have the school logo as it would appear on the field at the 50
yard line.
