Here's a very old picture of the site where our store is now. Our
best estimate for the date of this image is between 1914-1930.
The work done to convert these houses is truly amazing.
I'm not sure it is even done today. Basically, they "raised"
the old 1st floor (and above) on jacks, and inserted retail space in its place.
The original cellar was left in tact, and numerous column supports were added as seen above.
Then, approximately 50 years later, we became the tenant in 1978.

For various reasons, many items that we stock in our store are not for sale on the web. For example, many wooden games 
like Crokinole, Go, other Classic games, and especially CHESS need to be seen, touched and compared to recognize the
quality & workmanship. A picture can be very misleading, so stop in and browse.

NEWS:

Stop in and meet Kylie Primus, the newest member of our staff. He has a wealth of knowledge
of Board Games in general and Euro Games specifically. We are really lucky to have him with us.

We HAVE started our TRADE IN Program , for our in store customers. If you have games you 
don't like or games that just no longer hit the table anymore, trade for something you'll 
actually play. There are some general interest games, social games, trivial, Euro, card and even
hitorical simulation games. The selection is growing quickly.

An unexpected scary Halloween trip to "The Dungeon" (our dark basement) revealed the 
discovery of a sealed carton (6) of 1979's Avalon Hill/Sports Illustrated Auto Racing Game.

Buy Word is a Sid Sackson word game which is now back Legend of DRIZZT Summonar Wars MASTER SET NEW Tobago & Kingsburg are back in print finally!		It just seems to never stop. Here's a few more titles due soon that will be vying for your holiday budget: Stone Age: (The working title, omitted, is pretty lame) is the 1st expansion for Stone Age. It allows for a 5th player, decorations, a new workplace in the village, new cards, and new huts to expand the world. Vlaada Chvatil's latest will be Dungeon Petz. It's a stand alone which ties to the Dungeon Lords game.

Confusion: Espionage & Decepotion in the Cold War is a highly deductive strategic game for 2 players. Think Stratego but you can only see your opponents pieces, not your own. Think of the possibilities... ;) A Few Acres of Snow (Looks fantastic) Star Trek Deck Building Game Blood Bowl: Team Manager Survive 5-6 Player Expansion FINALLY Wrath of Ashardalon last restock for a while (OOM)
Icehouse / Ice Dice (Looney Labs) a redo of the long OOP Strategy game Dreadfleet: Big production game from Games Workshop set in the Warhammer world. Space Empires 4X (GMT): another one that looks super, already sold out and OOP Star Fluxx from Looney Labs is the latest Fluxx game.
Walking Dead (Zman game based on the comic strip rather than the AMC show). Elder Sign (2nd shipment) Star Trek Fleet Captains-Lots of minis & combat scenarios from all the shows of the Star Trek universe. Lots of buzz		Quarriors : Sold out (5-8 days) 4 Big Releases due before Xmas: Ticket to Ride Asia : Expansion Kingdom Builder: New game by same guy as DOMINION. Short preview looked extremely buzzworthy. Keep an eye on this. Risk Legacy: Not much info on this one but we are getting lots of calls from the Risk fans. Hinterlands, NEW DOMINION Expansion is due in October. Preorders welcome.
Whoowasit? A children's electronic / interactive co-operative game which was a 2008 Kinderspiel des Jahres Winner by Reiner Knizia. Released today from Ravensburger DE. King of Tokyo: New by R. Garfield Elder Signs: A Call of Cthulhu/Arkham Horror entry A final restock of Letters from Whitechapel until a new company grabs it. (Mfr is going out of business) Get Bit a NEW Card game 2-6 players. Great filler, fast play & easy to learn. Cute bits representing swimmers trying to get to shore before the shark piece tears you apart piece by piece in hangmanlike fashion.		Finca,a very good game that has been for the most part flying under the radar, is now OOP. I hope Jay reprints it soon. We're also running short of Space Alert, Letters from Whitechapel, Pandemic and several others.
After more than 15 years, we found a supplier of the Japanese game SHOGI. We have 2 versions of the game in stock now. A new version of Xang-Qi (Chinese Chess. Much nicer than the old ones we carried. A Premium Go Stone (10mm x 22 mm), now the best we stock. Nice new version of the Egyptian game SENET. 1.25", 1.5" and 1.75" wood checkers Premium 14" chess sets, very high quality both magnetic & Non magnetic.
