Trade-in Program List of games for tradeThe program is up and running with more activity that we expected. We only have about a few dozen games, but some are quite interesting. Maybe you got a game as a gift, and it's just not your taste, or a game you purchased no longer interests you.
Consider bringing them in for trade. This is not limited to any certain type of game, however, we take only games we think our customers will want. For example, we might have little interest in a copy of Clue, Monopoly or other standard mass market offerings. Still, most titles will be accepted for trade.
We are trying out a Trade-in program. The general idea is to offer the opportunity to trade a game for something different. It will surely evolve as we feel our way around, so feel free talking to us about changes you think will make the program more useful and fair to all concerned.
How it works:
You bring a game or games to the store. We will group
code them based on original retail price (as shown on the table below), and tag
them with that code. The group code is nothing more than a guide for trades.
This code will be the only factor at the start. However, it a game sits in stock
for a good while, we may want to adjust the group code down one or more levels.
Trades:
You may trade any game for another of the same
group for a fee of $5.00. You can avoid this fee if you select a game that is
one level below the one you trade. This will allow us to acquire some games to
add to the pool, and of course allow for some profit. Most trade-in programs by
necessity involve shipping costs by both parties. That part is, at least,
avoided here.
Purchases:
For those who do not have a game to trade, we will on
occasion sell them. This is the reason for the estimated value we enter on the
tag. Generally, the sell price will be based less on the trade code and more on
the estimated value we set.
